Dilip Patel is founder of the Dilip Patel Law Firm. Prior to starting the firm, he served as General Counsel for IMRglobal Corp., an international IT services and outsourcing company. While there, he oversaw the company's $50 million initial public offering (IPO), which was followed by a secondary offering of $100 million in 1997. He also managed all legal aspects of IMRglobal's acquisitions, including companies in the U.K., France, Northern Ireland, Australia, Japan and the U.S. When IMRglobal was acquired in July 2001 by Montreal-based CGI Group, Inc., Dilip was involved in the merger negotiations and closing, which was valued at $450 million. Prior to IMRglobal, Dilip was an attorney with the Fowler, White law firm in Tampa where he focused on international business transactions and immigration. Dilip holds law degrees from the University of London's London School of Economics and Political Science and from the Florida State University College of Law. He is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law and is a member
of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and numerous civic
organizations. Dilip has achieved Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He is also listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" for immigration law.
Gerald Seipp practices immigration law with the Dilip Patel Law Firm in Clearwater, Florida. He has more than 24 years of experience practicing immigration law and he taught the Immigration Law course at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School for 15 years. Gerald has published many articles on immigration law topics. He currently writes the federal court summaries for immigration law issues for Interpreter Releases, a weekly Thomson West publication. He is a 1972 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and a member of the New York and Florida bars. He also is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Gerald has achieved Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He is also listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" for immigration law.
Brent A. Rees is an associate with Dilip Patel Law Firm. Brent is fluent in Spanish and has extensive experience in employment-based immigration law. He advises and represents companies in the preparation of employment-based non-immigrant petitions (e.g., B, E, H, L, O, P, R, and TN petitions), labor certification applications (PERM), immigrant petitions (all preference categories), and adjustment of status and consular processing applications.
Prior to joining the firm, Brent was a Senior Staff Attorney for a large trade association where he served as a legal resource for hundreds of employers and workers in the areas of labor certification, federal labor law and employment based visas. Brent has also served as General Counsel for companies in the mechanical contracting and landscaping industries. He is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law (JD, 1997) and Miami University (Ohio) (BA, 1994). Brent is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, licensed in the State of Maryland and limits his practice to U.S. immigration law.
Brent has presented seminars throughout the United States and Mexico in the areas of H-2B visas,
Adjustment of Status and the PERM process.
Paula Harshberger is a Paralegal with the Dilip Patel Law Firm. She has extensive experience as an immigration paralegal and a legal assistant with private law firms. Prior to joining the firm, Paula was a legal assistant at IMRglobal from 1999 through 2003. While at IMRglobal, Paula supported all aspects of contract management. Paula received a BA degree from Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois in 1977.
Marian Lear is a Paralegal with the Dilip Patel Law Firm where she supports all immigration processing work. Prior to joining the firm, Marian worked for IMRglobal from 1998-2003, initially as an Immigration Assistant and later as a Paralegal.
